During your first visit at GRPT, a physical therapist will perform an evaluation. This will include a review of your health history and a thorough assessment of your physical condition. Based upon our findings, we will work with you to customize a program that will meet you long-term goals. This program may include one or more of the following:

Manual therapy techniques (eg. mobilization, manipulation, range of motion, massage)

An individualized exercise program (including a home program)

Education (to allow self management of symptoms)

Ultrasound, electric stimulation, biofeedback, heat, ice, iontophoresis, low level light therapy (cold laser)

Based on progress toward your goals, follow-up visits will be utilized to advance your physical therapy program.

Our expertise in the treatment of orthopedic injury is based upon a thorough evaluation of your current problem as well as a detailed health history. These components allow us to formulate a rehabilitation program that is tailored specifically to your needs. Based on our findings, we will prescribe any combination of strength training, flexibility, manual techniques, and/or modalities (such as ultrasound, electric stimulation, light therapy, iontophoresis, moist heat, or cold packs). We can help you achieve your rehabilitation goals in these areas:

Rotator Cuff Tear

Surgical Rehabilitation
At GRPT, we work directly with your surgeon to insure that your rehabilitation progresses as expected. Our skilled therapists are constantly updating their knowledge about the latest procedures and the best rehab protocols for all types of surgery. We utilize your surgeon's specific post-operative protocol (when specified) to progress your rehab. We look forward to working with you and your surgeon to return you to your optimum level of function at home, work, or play.

Sports Rehabilitation
We understand how important a quick return to activity is to our patients. For that reason, Sport Rehabilitation at GRPT centers on a timely and safe return to athletics, while reducing the risk for recurrence. In order to prescribe a program tailored to your exact needs, our initial focus is on thorough evaluation of your injury. Once an appropriate program is in place, additional emphasis is placed on prevention and a time-table for return to sport.

Spinal Rehabilitation
GRPT's highly skilled staff is proficient with evaluation and treatment of disorders of the spine, including spinal stenosis, herniated/protruded discs, muscle strains, osteoarthritis, to name a few. Our therapists employ a McKenzie (mechanical diagnosis and treatment) based evaluation and treatment model to maximize your success and return you to optimal function.
